NEW MOON IN ARIES

We'll be experiencing the New Moon in Aries @ 11 degrees on the 1st of April 2022.

This New Moon invites us to connect with ourselves - warts and all.

It reminds us that our suffering is not something to eliminate or repress but to integrate the perspective that our pain provides. It is time to recognise and appreciate the pearls of wisdom that reflect our growth.

This energy will be most potent at the time of this New Moon (6:24am BST) but will be playing out significantly over the next fortnight and in the undercurrents leading up to the Full Moon in October.

By looking into your personal house and planetary placements around Aries, Pisces and Aquarius, we can gain deeper insight and context towards setting intentions moving forward.

WHAT IS
THE COSMIC INFLUENCE
PLAY BY PLAY?

New Moon in Aries Chart
via astro-seek.com

Notice the lack of geometric aspect lines created in the chart above…. This is an apt illustration of how we may collectively be feeling. Concentrations of intense energies, separated and ultimately seeking some form of connection.

When we experience a ‘New Moon’ cycle - it represents things we’d like to start anew, to explore… to initiate.

Sun conjunct Mercury will highlight our thinking, communication and the communities we engage in - whether that is locally, within our families, the workplace or via the Internet. This aspect stimulates how we share and process information.

The Moon, in conjunction to the Sun//Mercury, will be offering us an additional dimension of sensitivity and intuition. Depending on how we channel this, there is great potential to become clouded by our emotions or previous experiences - especially with Chiron (also in this clump of a conjunction) in the mix.

Chiron is the asteroid that represents our wounds named after one of the Centaurs in Greek Mythology.
This legend leaves their legacy, providing us with the profound insight around how our wounds can become the greatest source of wisdom, blurring the lines between poison and antidote - kind of like when we discover the healing properties of toxic plants.

Since Chiron will play a significant role in this particular lunar cycle, let’s break down some potential themes we may experience.

ALL I COULD DO WAS CRY (-RON)

When the Sun is conjunct Chiron, this can trigger and unearth deeply rooted childhood wounds that correlate to our self-confidence. This energy is the equivalent to the unconscious, totally-out-of-nowhere scraping of scabs revealing scars of our past, only to find that its still sore.

With Chiron in Aries, we can interpret this as any wounding around the way we express//assert ourselves and our creativity collectively - although it is important to note that we all individually have our own Chiron placement, so check out your chart if you want to get super specific or book a Chiron Reading with me.

The antidote to this chronic shot of Chiron is to explore the ways in which we can move forward, unapologetically.
To explore and harness the ability to assert ourselves and our needs in spite of any limitations, adversity or rejection.

To listen to what we hear within the hurt of our cries.

This lunar cycle is like an intense session of exposure therapy with the Sun//Moon and Mercury conjunct Chiron.
Through this process of seemingly random re-triggering, we can work towards acknowledging, accepting and working through the past pains that prevent us from growth.

There is great potential for tempers and temperatures to be running hiiiigh n’ hotttt. It is worth considering where we, or others around us, are reacting from. Mercury’s influence can make words our weapon alongside the unconscious, irrational actions or reactions from the Sun//Moon.

Though this energy may feel difficult - either from within or from others around us - there are definitely avenues of answers. By taking the time to listen, reflect and address any underlying themes honestly we can transition into personal growth and ultimately feel less shitty.

CHIRON THEMES TO CONSIDER

  • What is our relationship towards mending and tending to our wounds?

  • Did we receive the proper care that resonates with the ways we operate in our formative years?

  • How can we separate pain that isn’t ours to bear with our own beliefs versus what we have been shown?

  • Examine the ways we naturally express our assertive energy and reflect on the ways we act out or self-sabotage:
Do we diminish ourselves or have a tendency to overcompensate to prove our sense of self worth?

  • How much space are we capable of holding for ourselves + others pain and suffering?

  • How do we deal with feelings of abandonment, loneliness and insecurity?

  • Do we feel supported by the people or communities in our lives?

  • Do we ignore our needs for the sake of others? Or conversely, do we ignore the needs of those close to us?

  • What wounds do we hold around our communication, thinking or self-expression?

Chiron and Aries stellium aside, we also have the Mars, Venus and Saturn conjunction in Aquarius. This transit can inspire us to investigate where and in who we place our values, care and attention towards.

The Mars//Saturn influence has the potential to recreate feeling burdened, limited or restricted related to the ways we want to operate and move forward - echoing that parental or authoritarian flare from our childhood experience. This can potentially bring these repressed emotions to surface, so it would be wise to strive and carve the time to channel these frustrations in ways that empower and inspire us to persevere.

We may want to throw a huge pity party for one - throwing the baby out with the bathwater. As tempting as this may feel, this celestial configuration encourages us to accept our limitations and reframe these obstacles as opportunities.
Rather than feeling stunted and stagnant, what can this slower pace offer us to create discipline?

Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Pisces invites and encourages us to develop the spiritual aspects of our lives.

Spirituality is so much more than meditation or prayer. It is not about cacao ceremonies or crystal collections. It is about honouring the divinity in ourselves, our intuition and the contradictions in ourselves that create growth and serve purpose beyond our individual scope.

To recognise the deeper motivations and meanings in our lives and within the lives of others. Any separation we can experience is a temporary illusion and personal responsibility is the solution. The power of one affects everyone, even if it is unseen.

This transit inspires us to connect with the song of our souls and how we sing our tune in our human, physical experience.
This particular energy can be an inoculation of optimism, so we will want to be mindful of any potential side-effects as Neptune rules illusions, the subconscious and the mystically unseen.

With the addition of Jupiter’s expansive qualities, both planets in the home//exalted sign of Pisces, can also create some unrealistic expectations. This energy can be the definition of hype. Without discernment, there is great potential to become carried away by charisma and conspiracy. Overall, this lunar cycle is best navigated with compassion, caution and conscientiousness as we work through our wounds to move forward.

I pulled some cards and created some additional journal prompts to further contemplate navigating these energies, so you can check that out below or book a bespoke reading with me here.

ORACLE INSIGHT

integration
empowerment
transition
allowance
third eye
consciousness

  • How would we describe the dynamic between our inner and outer worlds?
Reflect and observe any situations, thoughts, feelings or experiences that have arisen

  • In what ways can we integrate any disconnect we’ve experienced?
Brainstorm and explore the root of the above situations by investigating the who, what, how, why + wheres.
Once that is figured out, look to find any underlying and connective themes

  • Make a list of all the things that both empower and disempower us:
Contemplate the activities, traits or expressions that supports us at our core and anything that prevents us from growth or keeps us trapped in cycles

  • What can we commit to that supports the empowerment of ourselves and our communities?
Explore any attitudes, activities or affirmations that can support our collective and individual empowerment

  • Reflecting on the theme of transition, what transitions have we experienced?
Include any past, present or recent transitions and explore any feelings or realisations that arise as a result

  • What would we like to transition towards?
Take some time to brainstorm any ideals + goals that align with our values.
What actions or behaviours can we adopt to make this happen? How have our previous transitions contributed towards this?

  • How can we appreciate, allow and accept any painful themes we’ve experienced?
Think about ways we can incorporate, reframe and evaluate any perceptions we hold and explore the ways this can inspire us to keep moving forward, unapologetically

  • What areas of our lives can we invite the energy of allowance?
The energy of allowance allows things to exist objectively - without fear, judgment, repression or resistance - list any themes that arise that apply to your personal journey

  • Closing the eyes and drawing a deep, belly breath, draw awareness to the space between our brows:
Spend a few minutes connecting to this space, becoming aware of any thoughts, sensations or feelings.
Don’t forget to document and record these observations.

  • Reflect on any previous instances when intuition has been strong:
What sensations can we recall? By reflecting on our past intuitive inclinations, we can strengthen and harness them as we move forward.
Write out anything that comes to mind - maybe this presents itself as doodles, music and everyday activities. List them all.

  • Take a moment to feel into any sensations within the body:
Notice and record any areas of tension, thoughts, emotions or feelings that surface

  • Now, take a moment to feel the sensations outside of our body:
What changes can we detect as we shift our awareness from inside//outside our body?
